Bob came to Sasha Farm in 1997 as a volunteer and found a home with the animals at the sanctuary and loved their stories. He stayed as a regular volunteer and became an advocate for animal rescue and Sasha. He joined the Board of Directors in October 2003 and also volunteered as event coordinator and led many tours for visitors and donors over the years. Bob continued with the board leaving in October 2023. He helped with the negotiations to purchase the property and after the negotiations were successful leading to a land contract, he rejoined the board as President as of November 2024.
Bob became a vegetarian in September 1986 and became a vegan after a strong connection with the animals at the sanctuary. He is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired after 44 years in the telecommunications industry. He is married to his wife Sunday and has a daughter Tammy . Both are vegans and animal advocates. He has a rescued 8-year-old Morkie and 2 rescued cats Louie and LuLu.
