SASHA Farm invites you to enjoy a beautiful Spring Day at our sanctuary – Join us for our Sunday May 22 Open House and Fundraiser.
The past 2 years have been a challenge for everyone at SASHA. Due to concerns about the spread of Covid19, we had to cancel events and keep our staff to a minimum to avoid exposure. March of 2021 was our 20th anniversary as a 501c3, but we were unable to truly celebrate that milestone due to our closure to visitors. In September of 2021, we lost one of the founders and the driving force behind the growth and success of the sanctuary, Dorothy Davies. All of these events greatly impacted the donations we need to continue our mission to provide a safe haven and lifetime care for abused, rescued, and surrendered farmed animals.
Hopefully the pandemic is behind us. We are excited to announce the return of our annual spring fundraiser on May 22, 2022. There will be guided tours, logo merchandise for purchase and a catered picnic lunch by The Moveable Feast featuring a mixed Fruit Bowl, Texas Red Potato Salad, Broccoli and Kale Slaw, and Field Roast Vegan Frankfurters. A vegan bake sale will also be featured.
Most importantly, you can meet our new animal residents, and reunite with old friends at SASHA Farm, both animal and human.
Hours for this event are 12:30-5 pm EDT, and the address is: 17901 Mahrle Road, Manchester MI 48158.
Won’t you join us and help us continue our mission? We can’t wait to see you!

Help Henry Plummer meet his 14th birthday fundraiser goal for SASHA Farm!
Many of our SASHA friends and supporters may remember Henry Plummer from past birthday fundraisers where he has raised funds for the animal residents of SASHA Farm.
The SASHA Family is so grateful for all that he does.
This is his 5th year helping to support the animals at SASHA through a fundraiser. He will be turning 14 on April 9th, and has been skiing a great deal this winter. He did a 10km freestyle race at the Great Bear Chase in Calumet (MI) recently, winning 2nd place overall. He is involved in the Ishpeming Ski Club and loves being a part of the team and the camaraderie. He is trying out for track for the first time this spring, so wish him luck!
Henry considers his latest gift to be helping animals, He has been vegan since conception, and has sponsored 3 SASHA animal residents: Lucky the turkey, Meadow the pig (RIP sweet girl), and Babs the sheep. Henry loves teaching others about compassion towards all living beings.
Please donate HERE if you are able, and help Henry and the animal residents!
If you prefer to send a check, please send to the address below with a note or memo stating “Henry’s Fundraiser” Sasha Farm:

We at SASHA Farm (both animals AND humans) have been looking forward to seeing you at our 2020 events. The animal residents have been preparing for spring in order to renew their friendships with you. We were all counting on spring and meeting up with you again to help brighten our days.
Unfortunately, we are deeply disappointed to let you know that we are cancelling our 2020 events until further notice. This includes the public tours which were to start in April, the spring event on May 9th, and all events thereafter until the risk associated with the coronavirus has passed. We value the health and safety of our volunteers, our staff, and each and every one of you, our supporters. We will continue posting live videos, pictures, blogs, and opportunities for comments on our Facebook and Instagram pages, and on our website. Our animals will take to social media with you like never before!!
If you are a current sponsor at a Barn Buddy level or above, part of your sponsorship package includes a private tour. However, we are recommending that even those tours be put on hold until we can be certain there is little or no risk to any staff or visitor.
Questions? Check out our website, Facebook page, or Instagram page for updates on our event schedule. If you are a sponsor and have questions, please email sponsorships@sashafarm.org. For event questions, please email bob@sashafarm.org, and for general questions, info@sashafarm.org.
We value each of you and your support, and hope that by working together, we can all stay safe this spring and summer until this has passed.
With our deepest gratitude for your support and understanding,
Dorothy Davies, Director, on behalf of the SASHA Family
The animal residents are sending their love to all. “We want you to stay safe and well. Time will pass quickly and soon we will see each one of you again. Until then, WE LOVE YOU AND WE MISS YOU!”
Winter is upon us and we NEED HAY! This year SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary went above and beyond for not one, not two, but ELEVEN cows in need. With the addition of these beautiful souls (revered as reborn human beings in Buddhist cultures) that brings our total number of rescued cows to 34! While we never know how many animals will need our help each year, this year was a big one.
Did you know one cow eats up to 27 pounds of hay per day? That’s over 800 pounds a month – for one cow!
With the price of hay this year higher than usual, and the addition of all our new residents, we really need your help in covering hay costs for the winter. Your contribution to our hay drive will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Any and every amount helps. Thank you for your support, and for helping all the SASHA residents to have a great holiday season.
Please click HERE to go to the Facebook hay fundraiser page. Make your donation by clicking the Donate button on the Facebook hay fundraiser page. Or if you prefer, you can mail a check to SASHA Farm, PO Box 222, Manchester MI 48158, and note that it is for the HAY DRIVE.
