Sadly, Sam lost his battle with lymphoma in the wee hours of the morning on Friday. He died peacefully in his sleep after spending the whole day being comforted by his friends. Even though we only knew him briefly, he was a joy to have around, and we will all miss him so much.
Dearest Sam: I was SO hoping that you were going to be able to spend a couple of happy years at the Farm when I wrote to Dorothy of your availability. And then she/they actually choose you to come and join the Farm! I was SO elated.
Sadly, that was not to be the case for long. Although I know that you had the love and support of many during your last months of lucky Farm life I still am sorry that it was for such a short time.
I’m so sorry that I never got to meet you but know that I think of you.
