Every new animal at SASHA Farm needs certain things when they arrive. Compassionate handling, vet care, food, water, and shelter are the highest priorities, of course, but they also need names and sponsors. Every animal at SASHA has a name and most recognize their names and respond to them. Not every animal has a sponsor, but many do and it goes a long way towards helping us pay for the cost of their care.
We’d like this sheep to have a special name. We’ve already considered the obvious Ann Arbor, but we’re sure there are other names befitting of a girl who is such a survivor, so elusive, and so beautiful. We’d like to wrap up this whole name-and-sponsor thing in one tidy package and give you a chance to tell us what her name is. Between now and Valentine’s Day, for a $5 donation, you can enter for a chance to name the Ann Arbor sheep. At the end of that time, we’ll choose a winner and that person will get a one-year honorary sponsorship of the Ann Arbor sheep.
So, how do you enter? Go to this page, donate at least $5 to her care, and in the “Comments or Questions” box, write your entry and the words “A2 Sheep” or something similar. You could also send a check to 17901 Mahrle Rd., Manchester, MI 48158, but make sure we receive it by 2/14/10. We know someone out there has just the right name for this gorgeous girl.
