We welcomed first one, then five more, new goats last week.

Who could say no to this face?

Who could say no to this face?

The first, Goatie, was rescued from neglect with his pony friend by a local dog rescue. The pony was adopted, and poor Goatie was left all alone. They loved him, but they knew he really needed the company of other goats, so last week, Goatie joined the SASHA herd. He’s quite a charismatic goat, very friendly and playful even compared to the other goats. It didn’t take long for him to become a volunteer favorite around here.

New Pygmy Goats

Photos in isolation are always a challenge!

The other five just arrived Saturday and are still in isolation, so we haven’t gotten to know each other quite as well yet, but if first impressions mean anything, these goats are as sweet as they come. Harley, Yoder, Snickers aka Nana, Daisy and Goatis are an adorable little herd of pygmy goats who were looking for a new place to call home. They found it here at SASHA Farm.
