On Friday, Dorothy received an unexpected, but very exciting, phone call. Someone from VegNews magazine was calling to inform her that SASHA Farm has been nominated for a 2008 Veggie Award for Favorite Animal Sanctuary!
It is such an honor to be mentioned alongside huge organizations like Best Friends Animal Society and Farm Sanctuary, who started off as small grassroots organizations like us, but whose staff and budgets are now exponentially larger than ours. Someday, with luck and the support of compassionate people like you, maybe we’ll have the ability to carry out our mission on the same scale that they do.
We are also the only nominee located in the Midwest!
