More SASHA from Michigan Radio

The day that they did the interview with Dorothy, someone also came out to the sanctuary to get some turkey sounds on tape. I brought a bucket of grapes, which they usually really go wild for, calling and singing happy turkey songs. They told us later that they weren’t going to use the material, probably because the turkeys were so wary of the recording equipment that they all calmed up, but at least one volunteer reports to us that she heard it yesterday around 5:30 pm, so I guess Gertrude’s a star after all!

Here it is, breakfast with Gertrude and friends. Dorothy and I are the humans in the piece. (Do I really sound like that? At least I didn’t do my turkey imitation while he was recording! *blush*)

You know, of course, that now you have to do your turkey impression at the next work party. =P
