Everyone always asks…

…”Exactly how many animals are here right now?” Our usual response is somewhere around 200. It really varies from month to month, but yesterday I did a complete count of everyone on the farm, including the chickens and geese who I had to count about ten times to get the same number more than twice. Stand still, birds!

Drumroll, anyone?

185, not counting the barn cats. Of course, this number will likely change by the next time any of you are here, especially if you come after next Monday. I hear a long awaited new resident will finally be arriving Monday evening…

I can’t wait to meet him! He’s going to be secluded in the barn for awhile?

Yes, he’ll be in the barn until we get to know him, and he figures out where he lives, and also so that we can evaluate his health after his travels. I’m excited to meet him, too. I hear he’s a rambunctious little man!
