Some of you probably received this notice in your inbox last week, but for anyone who missed it, here’s the scoop on our yard sale from Dorothy:
It is almost time for our fourth benefit (garage, yard, and barn) sale of the year. This is a great opportunity for you to help the rescued animals living at SASHA Farm. Long time volunteer, Diane Pruden will be hosting this sale in Milford on Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12.
We are asking for two kinds of help. One or both may work for you!
First, we are looking for donations of clean, saleable items to generate as much income as possible for the animals. This is a great opportunity for you to clean out the garage, basement, etc. as well as to benefit the animals. We have already received some nice donations such as antiques, crafts, toys, perennial plants, furniture, home accessories and kitchen items. We still need more for this to be a successful three-day sale.
Items, ready for sale, may be delivered at two locations. Taking them directly to Diane’s home in Milford is preferred. Call her at 248-676-0196 or email dianepruden@gmail.com to make arrangements. She will be able to accept your items during the day or evening and on the weekend. Or if you live closer to the Sanctuary in Manchester, you can deliver items to the farm. Call the Sanctuary office at 734-428-9617 or e-mail dorothy@sashafarm.org.
Second, we are looking for customers! On each day, the sale will take place from 10 AM – 5 PM. Bargains will be there! Items will be priced to move! Don’t miss out! Good for you and good for the animals. Address is 1455 Edgewood Lane, Milford - that is west of Burns, between Commerce and Cooley. Signs on the main roads will direct you to the sale. Bring your friends and family.
Too far to drive for a sale? As a special treat, you will get to meet Mr. Cluckles, an amazingly friendly young rooster who was recently rescued. He is living there and assisting in the gardens because he was so bonded to people that he would not fare well with the flock at the farm. Also, this sale is timed to coincide with Milford Memories, an annual festival that offers free activities for the family, craft and art sales and food vendors. The Village of Milford is about 2 miles from the sale.
Anyone who can spend a couple (or more) hours helping out at the sale will be welcomed with gratitude! Please contact Diane or Dorothy.
Thanks very much for your continuing interest and support of the animals at SASHA Farm.
