Summer Festival - Saturday, July 28th!
Mark your calendars if you haven’t already! Food, fun, and sun, and maybe even a special guest of honor!
Moo, another escaped steer destined for the slaughterhouse, just like our Jefferson, will be coming to live at SASHA Farm, and weather permitting, he’ll arrive on the 28th! You can read more about Moo here.

What a fun day! Abigail (age 6) visits Sasha Farm often enough to know the names of many of the animals. She thought today she would like to go to the festival mostly to meet new people and to help Monty, in case he needed her. She wasn’t expecting the bottomless bag of celery, strawberries, lettuce and more — real food, not pellets — to feed the animals! It took her a little over three hours to decide she was ready to go home. By then, she had carefully studied each species’ and each individual’s approach to food. She noted their different lips, tongue, teeth, beaks, and their various tastes, styles and graces. That very practical experience brought her a lot closer to the animals she has always adored. She was positively gleeful. So, thanks to Whole Foods for the food, and thank you Sasha Farm for the simple opportunity to feed the animals. It’s a beautiful thing!
